Pete Ward is a global thought leader and connector of people and patterns. After studying Neuroscience at university and kicking off his career as a rock climbing rescue ranger, Pete brought a passionate intellectual rigor combined with a fearless commitment to results into his career as a strategist and entrepreneur.

That career has spanned industries and continents and resulted in a truly unique perspective on how to build and grow profitable businesses. From New York to Oxford to Switzerland and from Tech to Financial Services to Retail, Pete has found patterns on the cutting edge that inform high performance outcomes regardless of context.

As a modern capitalist, Pete has long been fascinated with how to create value inside a system that is at once the most effective engine for progress in human history, and also inherently flawed in ways that actually impede profit. He believes that the most effective path to resilient growth is found in the understanding that modern innovation exists within a framework that has guided human evolution for thousands of years.

Understanding that durable solutions cannot originate in the bias of any one specific perspective, Pete has recently founded the Psychodynamic Strategy Group as an international collective of the best and brightest minds in his unique network, focused on an evolutionary advance in how we create value.

Pete also sits on the American Alpine Club’s Board of Directors where he chairs the Policy & Advocacy committee and co-chairs a joint committee with the Access Fund on Justice, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. He is also a member of the Membership committee.

Pete holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Hampshire College in Amherst, MA and an Executive MBA from the #1 Executive Education program globally, IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. He has also completed crisis management training & simulation with the Swiss armed forces and began his career as an Emergency Medical Technician and climbing rescue ranger working in partnership with the Air National Guard Helicopter team rescuing injured climbers, hikers and mountain bikers.
